Okavango Delta is one
of Botswana's well known tourist destinations,in fact,one could say you haven't been to Botswana until you have seen Okavango Delta!It is the world's largest in-land delta and it covers about 17000 square km of land!Tourists flock here every year to come and see the wide variety of plants and animals that reside here at the delta.Lions,Buffalos
,Elephants are some of the animals one could look foward to seeing when visiting the place.If you are more of an adventure person you could go for a wild ride in a
mokoro(small boat) which is manually driven by a boatman usin a long stick.The mokoro is a mode of transport native to the
Bayei tribe who are the native people that originate from that place.
Basket weeving is one of the main human activities practiced around the area
.A number of safari lodges and camps have been established in and around the area so as a tourist you wouldn't have to worry about where to stay when you're at the place.Trually the Okavango delta is a God given blessing to Botswana so i would recommend anyone visiting the country to just pass by the place to experience all these fascinating natural beauty for themselfs.
